UCLA DAY - Director's Message
Mark your 2009 calendars for the second annual UCLA Day! We invite you to come back to campus on Saturday, May 9 for this exciting new UCLA tradition.
Enjoy the best of UCLA by choosing from among behind-the-scenes campus tours and lectures from top-notch faculty members in the arts, athletics and entertainment and close the day with a barbecue hosted by Chancellor Gene Block.
In addition, we invite you to a special event with UCLA’s four renowned Ethnic Studies Research Centers: American Indian Studies Center, Asian American Studies Center, Chicano Studies Research Center and Bunche Center for African American Studies, who are hosting an open house reception for alumni. Come network with fellow alumni, faculty, and current students. See how our Centers are preserving and documenting the history of Los Angeles, impacting Ethnic Studies education across the globe, and providing a voice for diversity on campus and in the community. Please join our Centers as they kick-off their upcoming 40th Anniversary Celebrations.
The open house reception will be held in TBD, 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Your family and friends attending UCLA Day with you are most welcome to join us!
More information will be made available soon. In the meantime, go to [online RSVP address coming soon] to RSVP for UCLA Day at the all-inclusive ticket price (parking, tote bag, lunch, receptions, barbecue, lectures and tours) of $20.
Plan now to join us – we look forward to seeing you on May 9!
