Message from the Director

Dear AISC friends and family,

Hope you are all enjoying a restful and productive summer. Please see below for important news from the AISC!

Warmly,
Shannon Speed
Director, UCLA American Indian Studies Center

Congratulations to Ken Wade!

Ken WadeIt is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Ken Wade, AISC Librarian, as of Thursday, June 28, 2018. Ken has provided outstanding service to faculty, staff, students, and the general public, and the UC library community for nearly 21 years. Published research is sometimes difficult to find in the field of American Indian Studies because sources frequently are oral, not written. Nonetheless, library patrons knew that Ken would always manage to find a usable source no matter how obscure the topic. We will miss him dearly.

AISC is in the process of hiring a new librarian.
